The Philippine NGO Council on Population, Health and Welfare (PNGOC) is an umbrella organization composed of 56 member NGOs committed to uplift the lives of 16 million poor Filipinos – with emphasis on needs concerning:

  • Reproductive Health
  • Maternal Child Health
  • Youth and Sexuality
  • Woman and Development
  • Sustainable Development

PNGOC works with, and for, its member organizations to:

  • Create a sociopolitical, economic, and cultural environment that is supportive of population, health, and development programs.
  • Enable members to effectively manage and integrate these programs.
  • Help access, generate, mobilize, and share internal and external resources.
  • Serve as a resource and information center on population, health, and development.
  • Develop and strengthen partnership, and work closely with different communities, LGUs, NGOs, people’s organizations, and international institutions to attain various population and development goals.

Through the years, the council has built a strong base committed member determined to advance the people’s welfare. This has been accomplished by upholding the welfare of dedication among members, social responsibility, sharing, collaboration, mutual respect, unity, commitment to global concerns, integrity, transparency, excellence, complementation, amity, and understanding.
