About PNGOC

POLICY ADVOCACY

PNGOC promotes and appeals for support for programs through workshops, Information Education and Communication (IEC), press conferences and dialogues, community involvement and lobbying.

GOVERNANCE AND INSTITUTION BUILDING

PNGOC helps strengthen the capabilities of NGOs through training in key program areas such as project development, social marketing, organizational and staff development, and program management.

RESOURCE GENERATION AND MOBILIZATION

PNGOC helps ensure the financial viability and continued operations of NGO members. PNGOC primes members for self-reliance through sub-granting, support from international donors, and technical assistance and training on income generation, resource management, and financing schemes.

BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS

PNGOC establishes, maintains, and expands linkages among NGOs, people’s organizations, government institutions, media, international agencies, and the private sector through various means of information exchange and collaborative endeavors.

INFORMATION and COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) MANAGEMENT

The Council keeps up with the changing times and strengthens its network and information base, human resource skills and capacity in generating relevant information and promoting population and development programs through ICT.

SOCIAL MOBILIZATION

PNGOC organizes and actively involves communities and program beneficiaries in the planning and implementation of NGO programs.

RESEARCH and MODEL DEVELOPMENT

PNGOC promotes and develops adaptable systems in program management, social advocacy, information gathering and utilization, community mobilization and sustainability.

EVENTS ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT

The Council efficiently organizes and manages international and local events for government, NGOs and private institutions.
