Advocacy groups urge congress to tackle the RP-RH Bill

Press Room

March 15, 2011
Press Release

The start of the plenary debate on the RP-RH bill will start on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the House of Representatives, main session hall. Various groups including the Philippine NGO Council on Population, Health and Welfare Inc. (PNGOC) with the Reproductive Health Advocacy Network (RHAN) will participate in this momentous occasion.

"Every day we delay the discussion on the RP-RH bill, women and children are dying. The Filipino people want a national policy on Responsible Parenthood-Reproductive Health. I urge congress to tackle the bill and put it into a vote immediately." said by Dr. Eden Divinagracia, executive director of PNGOC.

We urge the constituents to be vigilant and support their pro RP-RH legislators.

PNGOC is composed of 95 national and local based NGOs all over the country and supports the passage of a Reproductive Health Care Act.
